$16,000 for BC Search and Rescue With Your Help!

Our goal for the 2017 edition of the Vancouver Trail Running Calendar was to not only support North Shore Rescue, but other Search and Rescue organizations from around the Sea to Sky Region as well. With your help we managed to surpass last year’s inaugural campaign by raising just over $16,000 in net profits from this year’s campaign. So Thanks!

These funds will be donated in part directly to NSR, as well as distributed through the BC Search and Rescue Association to other local SAR groups. Combined with the $15,800 raised from the 2016 Calendar, this brings our running total to almost $32,000 in funds raised for Search and Rescue! This money will help these volunteer teams with continued training, equipment repairs, and other operational overhead.

Our advertising partners this year included Coast Mountain Trail Series, Amer Sports (Salomon & Suunto), Kintec Footwear & Orthotics, Mountain Madness (Fat Dog Trail Race), Eartheasy (Lifestraw), Foretrails Run Series, and Smartwool.

We managed to increase our retail distribution with support from Salomon West Vancouver, Distance Runwear, Vancouver Running Co, MEC (Vancouver, North Vancouver & Langley), The Run Centre, Forerunners North Vancouver, New Balance Delta, Garrison Running Co, Sound Runner, and Capra.

Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers, and to Narrow’s Pub who hosted our Burgers and Beer event which was a huge success. And of course, thank you to all of the Search and Rescue volunteers across the province who work so hard to keep us safe in the wild.
