Are you new to trail running? Maybe you’re experienced, but looking to push your limits a little and explore further and higher. Does your bucket list include local routes like Hanes Valley and the Howe Sound Crest Trail?
Each year, there are more than 1,600 search and rescue incidences in BC alone. Our local terrain presents unique challenges and yet is so accessible, leading to an increase in these incidences year after year. They involve all types of outdoor enthusiasts, from hikers to skiers, and increasingly trail runners as the sport continues to grow.
In response to this, Run Wild Vancouver hosts a special edition of the AdventureSmart Survive Outside classroom program. You’ll hear from seasoned trail runners with first hand experience. They’ll share personal stories and practical tips to help you play safe on the trails when traveling fast and light.
You’ll also learn:
- Ways to manage the (often unexpected) dynamics of running in a group
- Outdoor leadership skills
- Considerations when adventuring with less experienced runners.
You can play safe AND have fun on the trails.
