2021 Donation for Search and Rescue

We’re happy to announce that we have donated an additional $18,000 for search and rescue on behalf of the trail running community! These funds will be distributed through the BC Search and Rescue Association to volunteer Search and Rescue organizations throughout the Fraser Valley and Sea to Sky Corridor to help cover operational costs.

Run Wild Vancouver is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization which aims to raise awareness of backcountry safety for trail runners through educational events and online campaigns, while raising funds for volunteer Search and Rescue.

Our inaugural fundraising campaign in 2016 raised almost $16,000 for North Shore Rescue. Through subsequent online campaigns and educational events, we have now donated a total of $50,000 to date for volunteer Search and Rescue in BC, while engaging over 500 attendees of our online and in-person educational events, as well as organizing a handful of trail building days in partnership with the North Shore Mountain Bike Association.

Thank you to everyone who has attended our events and supported our fundraising campaigns, and thanks as always to all the search and rescue volunteers for working so hard to keep us and the rest of the outdoor community safe.
